DL bench #s - new record set

well, NFLN doesnt recognize it..and neither does NFL.com

Neither does the NFL, matter of fact they dont recognize anything from the combine as an official stat.

If they want they can claim everything next year as a new record and only track it from 2012 on..........are we starting to see how silly this debate is?

From the time the 225 LB press was introduced to the Combine there has been one man that has put up more reps then any other. Justin Ernest........end of discussion.

There is no official stats on the combine. I dont know how else to explain this.

SDogo do u think we could get him in the third? Would he make a good NT? At his weight could he get back to 100% from his knee injury? Is he worth a 3rd or even a 2nd? Have the Cowboys even showed interest in him? What do u think of him?

I never did understand the association of Paea as a NT in a 3-4. He actually reminds more of Russell Maryland, just a little more athletic. I still believe he could slide into the end of Round 1.

The thing you aren't getting is its not me or gdrb saying it. It's the nfl combine people saying it. The two guys in charge of the bench press congratulated him for the record and the nfl net guys showed the list. They are only counting 2000 to present. It's cruddy for Ernest but I think the sack record is a bigger crime.

You didn't hear? Because R.Quinn is so supernatural that instead of benching 225 they put 3 tons on the bench for him so they were not there for 10 yrs waiting for him to finish pressing 225


All joking aside I would take Quinn at 9 depending on who else is available

I was telling everyone and their mother that Paea is a man-beast, strongest player at the college level and its not even close. And the guy is not some power lifting steroid monkey either, he is a true blue football playmaking dude.

Forget that he's an inch too short, or he's not 320 lbs (yet). The guy can flat out play. He's a helluva lot better than Ahtyba Rubin, who many have fallen in love with recently.

The guy is a superstar and will be available at the bottom of the 1st or top of 2nd, due to injury and height/weight nonsense. If Cowboys go OL in the first, I hope they trade up to get this guy. Either backing up Rat or playing alongside of him, Paea will improve the DL unit.

Paea is too small for the 3-4. Too bad because I'm a huge fan. Plus, I still think he could be a 1st rounder or early 2nd at the least, even after the knee injury

Quinn had almost as many reps as Dareus (who is 315 plus). Pull up your skirt your hate is showing. You really are an attention *****.

The bench press numbers this year have been pretty underwhelming. Even though I wouldn't draft the guy, you have to admire someone like Devine throwing up that many reps at 180 soaking wet. Don't give me any short-arm junk, that's impressive.

Paea will get drafted at the end of round one IMO.
