Following the second quarter sack, his agent tweeted the below -

What we can expect to sign him for, with the price continuing to rise week by week with his performance, is akin to the the five-year, $72 million deal signed by Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter.

Lawrence likely can't secure quite the type of contracts Khalil Mack (average of $23.5 million per year) and Aaron Donald ($22.5 million per year) landed last summer, yet. But if he continues, and we at least make it to the NFC championship game. I'd expect him to secure a Donald like contract.

It would be idiotic to pay him Donald type of money.

I think the FO has been preparing for this, and to be honest I don't really care what it takes. They identified this kid in the second round and he's been nothing but a leader and the definition of an impact player the last few years, and it looks sustainable.

Hopefully he comes in closer to $20m aav, but I really hope it won't matter. If they have to throw another few million on to that, it will be worth it for this man. I'd try to drive a harder bargain with Cooper and (definitely) Dak but to me, DLaw is a no brainer.

When they let DWare go, there was a smidge of reasoning because of his age (I bet they regret it now) so I hope that incentivizes them to get this one done

I see something like a 6 yr. deal at $21M per

.he's not a Donald nor Mack. Definitely not Watts or Lawrence Taylor. Has had history of injuries and believe is playing injured. But he is good at his position. Dallas has to be careful not breaking bank on him.

I think Dlaw plays with the tag and I think he would be happy. Dude is a warrior. I suggested this offseason to pay him Olivia Vernon money but most of the board thought that was ridiculous. He is the kind of guy we should be paying. He has earned his money.

5/72m should be the deal but he wants more since he will get 20m with the FTag

5/90m is more like a compromise spot

He does need surgery this offseason for a torn labrum which can be tricky

Except it wasn't his sack. I am all in favor of paying the man though!

Can always franchise tag him again.
Not that he would have a choice really but he said he wouldn't do it a second year. You pull that card and you better by ready to trade him cause it'd get ugly imo.
