I could see it but rehab is even longer. Also it depends on the surgery and type of tear most BFL guys get full open surgery to really fix it. When I did mine 7 years ago my Ortho did the surgeries for the ravens and told me average joes arthroscopic wise fine 95% of the time for players in pro sports a fully invasive surgery anchors the labrum better than arthroscopic
 
We wont be able to dictate what he gets folks.

We neither match what he could get somewhere else or he goes and plays for them

Sometimes you can't judge DE simply by number of sacks he gets. He's a premier DE in the league and will get paid like one.

He is a premier DE, and he will need to contribute more than setting edges. I am not seeing "constant flushes and pressures of the QB" these past two weeks. Watson gashed us.

His snaps were reduced this past game (perhaps that's due to the score/rest in the fourth quarter). We need him to make more of an impact. I am hopeful, and think he can turn it up, as long as his shoulder holds up. If it gets worse, I'd want him to get the surgery. Heal, come back, ready to go.

5 weeks why did he not do it during the off season, he said it bothered him all last year? doesnt make sense, something smells here :)
 
3 years 45m with 30m guaranteed. After 3 years his best work will have been done and he can sign elsewhere for a nice contract.

To tell you the truth from personal experience surgically repaired shoulders just never feel the same. I have had 2, one was a football injury that never healed and the other was injury while in the army. Next one is going to be replacement and I am only 41. Right now my shoulder is nice and tight but I do have impingement issues in certain motions. After the debacle his last surgeries were I guess he is scared tog o under the knife.

Ugh! I didn't even know about the recurring shoulder injury.

In the 2016 and 2017 offseasons, he had back surgery each time. Just knowing that, I was averse to resigning him long term. Recurring shoulder issue too. Big red flags for signing him long term.

IMO, the 11mil a year doesn't happen. He's franchised for about 17 this year. More like that for 4 or 5 years. Someone will pay it.

Of course things change if his shoulder keeps him from playing a large chunk of time. It will be interesting if he plays but production collapses like it did in the back half of last year. What will he get then? Whatever it is, in that case I hope it isn't us who is giving it to him.
 
If his stats fall off due to injury, you have to tag him again.

Tell him its nothing personal, but its business and he has to prove he can play an entire season without getting hurt or having his stats drop.

Make sure about 12 doctors look him over before giving him a long term contract.

what should happen to a contract?
he said he would not accept another tag, but that may be in his best interest.

by the end of the season we will know if D-Law is hurt and how much is left in the Tank :lmao:
