Lael Collins had his bouts with TJ Watts who is the premiere sack master in the NFL.
and Collins will likely have his fight bouts with Micah Parsons in spots and occasional as well with the
way Parsons moves around.

But for the most part i'd expect the former Cowboys starting RT to be going up
against Left End Demarcus Lawrence.

One of the two - between Dlaw or Lael Collins is gonna likely have a bad game. ...

Assuming that we do our duty vs the RB Joe Mixon run game, and make Cincy one dimensional
pass happy, expect to see a lot of Dlaw vs Lael Collins come Sunday.

He's not wrong about Philbin. We throw shade at him all the time here!! :muttley:
I thought Philbin made Steele serviceable but very little otherwise. La'el indicated he preferred Pollock because Pollock played the game and coached him harder. I kind of look at it as 6 or 7 years in you shouldn't need to be coached harder. You think Zack Martin needs someone to push him when he walks through doors at the Star?

Anyone that ever thought steele was serviceable just likes to drink the kool aid. I expect Lael to win the battles against d law

Lael sounded motivated (granted the means nothing) talking to Cincy media yesterday. Threw some shade at Philbon FWIW.
Collins is a joke like many players here. He's motivated now but what about getting paid and blocking 300 pound men trying to destroy his fishing buddy?

In layman terms, what did he say,if you don't mind going over it..thanks.
Sounded like two parts: Frank Pollock played in the league, Philbin didn't. So there is a certain respect or I am more willing to listen to Pollock factor. Second Lael said he needs to be coached harder. Did not elaborate. I took that as motivational though not exactly sure. So apparently Pollock coaches him harder. The whole interview is on YouTube if you want to see.

Thanks RS12, greatly appreciated..I will do that.

When I said serviceable I meant from a guy I thought was going to be cut to a guy that played snaps in regular season games. Nothing more. Has nothing to do with his level of play at all.

Dlaw is not a challenge anymore for a decent T.

Maybe he will get lucky and get Burrow because he is running from Micah, but he doesn't beat anyone anymore. Whirfs dominated him but struggled against Micah.

Coached harder? Collins was unavailable for about half the time Philbin has been here. Can't get coached if you aren't on the field.

Everyone better fear our big bad war daddy. You know the guy with 14.5 sacks over the last 3 years and 0 so far this year but still somehow makes 20 million dollars per year. His two contract years are such insane outliers in an otherwise pedestrian journeyman career yet we just keep handing over 20 million guaranteed every year like he is gonna somehow magically turn into Reggie White.

Did you watch Cincy last week? The oline was terrible. Collins sucks.

*Imagine if Watt didn't get hurt, who knows how many times he would've been on Barrow...Dlaw would be lucky to get a hands on...

against a good pass rusher, we are playing with one less weapon on the field with either a tight end or running having to help steele on passing downs.
