Dline discussion and rotation

Hard to tell.

Kony Ealy
Taco Charlton
Dorance Armstrong
Randy Gregory
Datone Jones

Who are the backup defensive ends among that group? They likely only keep 2-3 of them.

Really excited to see what Armstrong can do, and I keep forgetting about Ealy.

I think they keep 10 DLinemen....and Im not bettin aginst Datone Jones finding a spot.

This DE group tho is gonna be a battle...cant wait to watch it.

That entire list are backups. I’m sure by the end of training camp there will be one or two that aren’t hurt or suspended and those will be the ones that start.

I think they're going to have Jones play inside and it looks like they have Crawford slated for end.

Datone Jones is playing 1T DT

Crawford and Lawrence are the starters. Both good against the run.

So the backups are........?

Injuries will decide much of this most likely.

Armstrong and (possibly Ealy) are the backups, Charlton plays rpo downs, Gregory plays likely pass downs.

Hopefully Gregory can contribute on run support. I always though he was too small skinny in that area.

Not sure what weight he is at now, I gotta check.

remember that irving being suspended opens another spot coming out of camp
between camp and 1st 4 weeks, there could well be an ir player (knock on wood)

That seems high, do they normally keep 10?

With some guys having a bit of position flex, I think that 9 would be the max.

Crawford - Irving - Collins - Lawrence
Ealy - Jones - Price - Taco
Gregory

Backup 3T is kind of a concern, but the depth chart would be fluid on gamedays so they don't really need to have one. The silver lining to Irving being out 4 games is that it will allow us to get a better look at at least 1 player, b/c right now, it's a real toss up between Gregory, Ealy, Armstrong and Tapper.

I just think the numbers point to 10 DL.
we'll find out.
gonna be a tough cut if they keep 8 or 9.

He was one of the better DEs against the run from his draft so hopefully he can hold up.

Gil Brandt claimed he was 248 on espn dallas radio. He's been listed at 255 on the roster since his second season.

If this D-line can hit the ground running in Sept, they’ll certainly take some pressure off our young LBs and DBs.

Wish we had Irving for the first 4 games, but even without him this group has a lot of potential.
