Before the Dallas Cowboys’ regular season fully gets underway, here are 10 new faces you need to know.
1. Jasper Brinkley (LB)
How they got him: Agreed to terms on a two-year, $6.5 million deal
Brinkley actually signed with the Cowboys because of defensive coordinator Rod Miranelli. Brinkley told Cowboys insider Jon Machota that he saw Miranelli’s work while he was a Viking and the defensive coach was with Chicago. For more on Brinkley’s decision to sign with Dallas, click here. 10 things to know about Brinkley
Brinkley also spoke about having an identical twin brother Casper and how the two dealt with having unusual names.
2. Darren McFadden (RB)
How they got him: Signed two-year, $5.8 million deal
The departure of DeMarco Murray leaves a whole lot of carries for the Cowboys’ running back platoon. Can McFadden stay healthy and perform at a higher level behind the highly-touted Dallas offensive line? He’s had some injury issues in training camps (as have all the Cowboys running backs), but performed well in the Cowboys’ third preseason game, earning him praise from owner Jerry Jones. 10 things to know about McFadden
3. Andrew Gachkar (LB)
How they got him: Signed two-year, $5.5 million deal
The former San Diego Charger had four main reasons of why he chose to sign with the Cowboys this offseason. Machota says Gachkar’s immediate impact area will be on special teams. 10 things to know about Gachkar
