Isn't this basically describing the Erhardt Perkins system which, if I remember correctly, we began adopting last year?

I want to hear and see two things:

1) A better focus on the run
2) A better way to deal with press coverage and sugar blitz looks. Defenses have figured out that Romo is going to adjust at the line, so they just don't show him as much.

I don't think there was ever any evidence of the Erhardt Perkins terminology actually being used. Just that one blogger.

Nice this is what I like to hear.

If i understand correctly, if we have a play or a few plays that work...we won't keep switching it up, just to switch it up. We will continue to attack with the play but in different ways. I think we saw this with Stafford and Megatron vs us.

To many times last year, for instance Dez vs Flowers. He was killing him on a few plays, what did we do though instead of putting the pressure on KC to adjust, while we still attacked? We just switched it up, just to look "Smart"

Looks like this offense will really attack with it's muscle first.

why is jg saying to simplify? is it because callahan made his system too complicated last year? or is he realizing that his sytem was too complicated in the first place?

It makes sense to simplify an offense that a lot of defenses we play already call simplistic.

It's simple because we because we do nothing, scheme or formation wise to make a defense think twice. We can run exotic or different formations but still make the play calling and overall offense Simple and easy to understand.

If you really read the article, he's not saying we are just going to simplify the offense. He saying they need to get really good at the basics first, the simple stuff, then he will add his wrinkles. Which is smart. Why advance to Algebra, if we had a hard time with basic math the last few seasons?

Besides, tell me what was so complicated about Mannings and Brady's offense last year? Sure Manning and his offense got slapped around by the Seahawks(Who have a better defense), for the most past their offense worked last year, nothing real exotic about it. Just great formations, and great execution.

i know its madden, but when thing i do when playing is run the same play down the other players throat repeatedly until they figure out how to stop it. i let them stop it once or twice then adjust and repeat.

i beat a buddy like 5 times in a row like 70 to 30 running only 1 run play and 1 pass play for the entire games lol

As long as we start throwing some slants on 3rd & 5-7 yards to take advantage of Dez's size and strength (and maybe Escobar split out), I'll be happy. Was a staple when Irvin was here, and helped us move the chains consistently. If the route is run precisely with a big WR and throw is on time, it's almost indefensible. It's been missing for years.

Its been simple because we do nothing to confuse the d. We line up and the d know by formation what play we will run.

Linehan want to line up and make the d guess by running 5 different plays out of 1 formation.
