I love the dismissal of a huge bust in Escobar being hung on a slot WR making it.

If the design was to have the klutz split out wide in 3 receiver sets, it was doomed from the start.

I can't wait until we draft another tight end in the second round that we do not use. This team doesn't need second round picks.

Just skip day two of the draft, or the first half of it...then you won't see what you think may happen.
But just for you, they will not use a 2nd round on a TE, but will wait until you do tune in during the 3rd round so you can see what TE they do pick...:muttley:

David Moore: They will take either a CB or a DE in the first round. Whatever player is rated highest on their board at those two positions when it's their time to pick will be the player they select.
but..........
The scenario you can't dismiss though is what if you have what you think is a game-changing tight end that drops into your lap down there? O.J. Howard's a name on the radar screen there.

I say go with highest def player on your board round one,and round 2 , and round 3.
I doubt oj falls to # 28, but if he did, you would have to consider him.

why Tony Romo will stay retired and not return to Cowboys, NFL

David Moore: This is a sound strategic move for Romo. Peyton Manning has chosen not to get into TV at this stage. If he does, Romo has gotten a head start. He's gotten the jump on New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees and Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers. Romo has the chance to establish himself before any of these high-profile players enter the broadcast market. If he succeeds, the star power these players bring won't be enough to replace him.
I hadnt thought of this.

The Seahawks will want a higher first-round pick than the one the Cowboys (No. 28) have to offer. A team doesn't trade a player of Sherman's quality and settle for a selection two picks behind their own.

So a # 1 would not do it.
That means seattle wants to trade him to a crappy team with high picks ?? lol thats not good.
I wonder what NE was offering? anyone know?

That was a really good read. I do enjoy all of David Moore's takes.

He definitely comes across as more substance than style, giving reasonable answers rather than the all-too-common uninformed, controversial, self-serving bluster you find today. I think Moore's answers were both sound and accurate.

I looked at it from the prospect of the ever-increasing number of players getting into broadcasting and the thought of being handed the #1 job assignment right out of the gate. If that's what he was looking to get into, you couldn't find a more ideal arrangement. But I didn't think of possible competition from specific names.

I would also have to consider Ross if he fell, but I doubt he will be there. I would only consider weapons in the passing game if we go offense, but I'm BPA regardless.

BTW, thats wayyy too much for Sherman. They won't get that, especially since everyone knows the problems they have had with him.

This is a good read.

Crediting Leary for Zeke's success is silly. Leary is a good player but Zeke played like a rookie early in the season, he was going to get it going eventually regardless of who was playing LG.

i agree with you, i wasnt a big EE pick fan, but once he got it, you could put Rob Petitie on that side and he was running through.
