How embarrassing for goose..

Right? Quotes the wrong year, and then forgot they won a playoff game.

Mistakes happen, but how do you forget that we won a playoff game 15 months ago. Especially that pretty memorable finish.

Actually I thought it was a pretty good read....esp for him.

Too Tall and Martin should be in Canton.

Yes I am somewhat surprised. He hit a few things on the head. But then again it wasn't anything we haven't discussed on here before.
As to swinging for the fences in the later rounds. I said that many times. They philosophy there is to use the 7th rounders on your "next year" type guys. Injured players, developmental players. When you can get a player for competition now. So what do they do this year without any 7th round picks...they use the 6th round for that....they even admitted to it.

He also contradicted himself a bit. Depending on how one looks at it though.
He is against the way they drafted, you can tell that. But they did try to fix the defense. Just because he doesn't agree with Zeke helping the defense. As they tried to get a QB of the future, twice, but may have on the 3rd try in Dak. They wanted one of the pass rushers in the 2nd, but both were selected before they could pick. So they stuck to their board and drafted the new #54. Maybe they didn't want or tried and couldn't trade up as goose thinks they should have.
But they did go Defense after that. Let's see how they do and prove Goose wrong. LOL.

Anyway he states Arizona and drafting Defense, and we don't have a Safety like Matthieu...but previously he said Byron jones is set to have the most picks for us. So maybe he is that defensive player like Matthieu. Let's give him a chance before saying the D will continue to suck.

Dallas won a playoff game in 2014. How does gosselin miss little things like this all the time?

He sucks and he's in denial. He probably still can't accept that it even occurred.
Aside from his frequent factual errors, he's also had an anti-Romo agenda for years. His recent comments about Romo and his HoF potential said a lot. Sadly this guy has an important vote. I bet he has no idea that Romo has a 93 passer rating (higher than playoff god Eli) in the postseason with a 4:1 TD to INT ratio in the playoffs. Not to mention Romo has the 3rd highest passer rating in NFL HISTORY. However, there's no doubt he'd be able to cite a 2-4 TEAM playoff record with Romo at QB. Gosselin is just terrible.

Question: What did you think of the petition to get Too Tall in the Cowboys Ring of Honor?

Gosselin: It doesn't really matter what I think. When it comes to the ring, it only maters what Jerry Jones thinks. But as a member of the Hall of Fame selection committee, it surprises me that neither Harvey Martin or Ed Jones has ever been discussed as a finalist for Canton. When you collect 100 career sacks, you need to have your case heard. Unfortunately, both players are now in the senior pool where, like I mentioned above, all players become longshots. Too many quality candidates, too few nomination spots.
hmm...

Fans can nominate any player or contributor by simply writing to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I wonder if my past nomination letters for Jones and Martin--among other eligible Dallas Cowboys-have been automatically forwarded to the selection committee?

Martin and Jones would be discussed for enshrinement solely by the PFHOF senior committee. Only nine members of the PFHOF 46-selectors preside on the senior committee.

So, no one has ever mailed in a written nomination for Harvey or Too Tall? The assumption sounds incredulous  but its possible. However, let's assume such snail mail did snake its way into the senior committee's hands. The players must be considered for inclusion with other nominated players and contributors for induction through debate--a debate waged between the nine members of the senior committee. Which of the senior members could passionately argue the merits of enshrining Martin or Jones? Who could do this for such deserving Cowboys..?

Wait.

Doesn't Gosselin sit on the senior committee board?

Nevermind.

Five years is a long time for a coach not to win a playoff game. .....good thing Garrett got a win against Detroit last year

Good lordy...I just shook my head when I read that. He trips over himself at times trying be negative.
Also, the "which season was more of a fluke" comment.

I think 3 TDs for Williams is an overachievement considering who was throwing it.

I have given Garrett my fair share of criticism but fact is he has us competing for division Champs.....which gives playoff berth. ....every season but this past injury riddled season. Not making excuses but he hasn't had a losing season since being the coach, even after taken a 1-7 team to 5-3

Byron Jones won't lead the Cowboys in picks in 2016. I think one of the LB'S will be INT leader. Secondary currently lacks a true ballhawk.

Guess they can't afford editors. I'll fix it for him five years is along time for a coach to go with one playoff win and a .500 record.

I am not a fan of Garret by any means, but I suppose it could be worse. We could have someone like Fisher who hasn't had a winning record in 6 years (the last 5 being losing seasons), and 15 of 21 seasons at .500 or worse (10 of those 15 being under .500). And he has a losing record in the playoffs (4 of 6 losses as the home team - twice one and done as the 1 seed) when his team does happen to be good.
