I disagree. The winner is suppose to be working out with Michael Irvin, not the Montreal Alouettes.AMERICAS_FAN;2818698 said:Not necessarily. Winning the show guarnatees him a slot on the 80-man training camp roster, but not the final 53-man team roster. So trying out and making other clubs is a good contingency plan in case he doesn't "stick" in the NFL, should he be the 4th-And-Long finalist.
BraveHeartFan;2819509 said:I thought I read, or heard, that the winner would be working out with Michael from the time the show ended until training camp began? Is that not true? That's another reason I figured that Hawkins must not be winning the whole thing.
Chris in SoCal;2819797 said:watching the show it seems the 3 WR's are far better than the DB's. Even Jones, who seems lazy, has intriguing size and athletic ability. Then when you look at the 3 WR's, Hawkins seems the clear cut favorite. I just don't see how he could be playing up in the CFL if he had won.
So I'm guessing Holley is the winner? Those 4 DB's have no chance of beating out DeAngelo Smith, Mike Mickens, Mike Hamlin, Alan Ball, Courtney Brown, or Pat Watkins for a roster spot. At least Holley or Hawkins can challenge for a spot.

He's consistent, fast enough, big, strong, competitive.
Jones is Irvin's favorite due to similar style, but other than Hawkins the only guy with a chance is Holley.
BigWillie;2819827 said:Doubt it's going to be Holley either. He's been in Chapel Hill for a few weeks playing pickup basketball with some of the former UNC basketball players against the current team.
QuanTran;2819839 said:Interesting. So no Hawkins or Holley? Those were my two picks that would win this show...
Looks like Rice brings his own squad to the Cotton Bowl to play against these guys. Instead of playing against themselves, they'll have to go against a hated rival.QuanTran;2819921 said:Just got done watching the show. Spike finally put up the episode. That was some intense stuff at the end. 5 hours of basic bootcamp is hardcore. Next week, a chance to play with Jerry Rice.
