A lot of you folks aren't real keen about Jerry rummaging through the retread bin to find the Cowboys' next coach.

How would you feel about a guy with a 36-44 record and only one winning season?

Well, the Patriots are pretty happy that they hired Bill Belichick.

Wade Phillips has a much more impressive history as a head coach than Belichick did when he arrived in New England. Norv Turner's 58-82 record is ugly, but it's not like he ran good teams into the ground.

These guys got chances to be head coaches because they've proven themselves as top-tier coordinators. Maybe all they need is a good situation -- and this one ain't bad, considering the Cowboys were a playoff team -- to have similar success as the big boss.

Maybe thats all Bruce Coslet needs too.

Not like the '90-'93 Jets or '96-'99 Bengals could've been any more hapless.

The question becomes.. do you wanna find out?

yeah compare bellichick and turner...thats it

Bellichick repeatedly had outstanding defenses as a coordinator.

he had a bad run in cleveland, he made alot of mistakes.

Norv had 7 years with control for the most part in washington and then a year in oakland.

What's your point, Belicheck had total control at Cleveland and that didn't pan out.

Turner has repeatedly had outstanding offenses as a coordinator and as a head coach.

actually no bellichik had to beg modell to sign free agents and had the burden of cutting bernie kosar. He couldnt win after that.

Hey his time in cleveland was bad. Giving all that money to andre rison was the final nail.

However belichik won wherever he was with parcells as a coordinator. He is a much more accomplished coach than Turner imo.

I like norv. He did good things here. That was 1994. I havent seen him be so innovative anywhere that they have won superbowls or even playoff games.

I dont think it is smart to overlook rivera for turner because he can bring in campo and together they were assistants on a team that won with what will be an abundance of hall of famers someday.
