Tonight is the last episode of Hard Knocks, the fine HBO program produced by NFL Films. I know shameless plug.

Tonight, former Cowboys' quarterback Troy Aikman talks about Tony Romo:
"He hasn't won a playoff game yet but he's only played in two of them. I compare him a lot right now with where he's at to where Peyton Manning was a few years ago. Peyton came into his first three seasons and made the playoffs and did not win a playoff game. Someone had asked me about Peyton and I said, 'You know, not only do I think Peyton will win a Super Bowl but he will win multiple Super Bowls.' And I think the same is true for Tony Romo."

Everybody's favorite quarterback Joe Theismann had some thoughts on Tony Romo as well.

Theismann, the former Commanders quarterback, talks to Mike Schneider of Bloomberg Television, I know another shameless plug, on Night Talk.

Agent to the stars Drew Rosenhaus is also on the show. Drew reps T.O. Barber and Zach Thomas.

"Health is the X-factor that no one can really factor in, but you can look at teams," Theismann said. "The New England Patriots certainly because of Tom Brady and the compliment of people around him, and the coach. I think Payton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, I think definitely need to be considered. ... I think his knee is going to be fine...I like the Dallas Cowboys - I think are a very talented football team, you know those are the ones you will-- the Pittsburgh Stealers probably are another one. Now I've got a couple of sort of on the outside - I think the Houston Texans will be a better football team this year. The Buffalo Bills, probably better ... and the Jacksonville Jaguars."

I can't wait for tonights' episode of Hard knocks. "The Turk" greatest day shall be seen for all to see. I can't wait...

Houston may be better, but i don't there record will indicate it. Not only do they play in a tough divsion. But there QB has to stay healthy, there WR has to stay healthy, and there defense needs some serious help in the secondary.

I wonder if Joe Theismann misspelled "Payton" and "Stealers" in the interview.

Actually I don't. I just wonder which message board Calvin Watkins ripped that "recap" off of.

I didn't even notice that the first time.

Not sure Calvin knows what "shameless plug" means, either.

Unless he owns part of HBO and Bloomberg.:

Maybe he's going to have a segment w/Jerry like JJT did last week when talking about Bobby Carpenter.

The comedy of the Norman Einstein inspired "Stealers" and "Payton" mixed together with Calvin's shameless plug of programming that he has no vested interest in is pure gold. Top it off with the fact that Joe Theismann's opinion carries about as much weight with me as Peter King and Sean Salisbury's cell phone gallery put together and you have a real winner. The only thing that could have made that blog post better would have been a testimonial by Skip Bayless.
