We blogged earlier about Roy Williams' desire to play Sunday despite a run injury but the wide receiver is not practicing Wednesday.

Williams has shown to be a quick healer however with wrist and shoulder injuries from the preseason.
Felix Jones is not practicing and has a brace on his left knee but Marion Barber is at practice.

Center Andre Gurode is not practicing because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

If Gurode can't play then the Cowboys would look to Cory Procter or Duke Preston as the starter against Kansas City.

Roy Williams hoping to play

Roy Williams is not sure he will be able to practice today but he believes he will be able to play Sunday against Kansas City despite a rib injury that knocked him out of the end of Sunday's game at Denver.

"I can breathe good," Williams said. "I can inhale. I can exhale, so it's not broken. I'm good to go."

Williams returned after the hit from linebacker D.J. Williams and made a 15-yard catch but he had a difficult time breathing and felt like he was hurting the team rather than helping.

"It was really tough for me," Williams said, "so don't act like I didn't wnat to be out there for the last play because I would've gone at Champ and wished they would've called the same things if I was out there."

Im right with you there, everybody expects him to step in and have TO type production. He's a great reciever that would have better numbers with another proven reciever on the other side of him

I like Roy also but we need some one to stretch the field on the other side. I have a feeling that guy is on the team and his name is Kevin Ogletree. The only way we will see that is if Roy does not play. We will also see if Austin and Hurd have anything. This team needs to find out about Ogletree because we no what Hurd and Austin has and it ain't much!!!!!

2:53:05 pm As the Cowboys began their first day of preperation for the Chiefs, C Andre Gurode (knee), WR Roy Williams (ribs), RB Felix Jones (knee) and S Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb) were not on the practice field. RB Marion Barber (quad) was dressed and taking part in the drills.

I like Roy also but we need some one to stretch the field on the other side. I have a feeling that guy is on the team and his name is Kevin Ogletree. The only way we will see that is if Roy does not play. We will also see if Austin and Hurd have anything. This team needs to find out about Ogletree because we no what Hurd and Austin has and it ain't much!!!!!

I don't get why people think Roy can't stretch the field... They need to throw him the ball and let him make the plays!
