Can't stop the Cowboys in the second half
As the league's highest-scoring squad, the Cowboys' offense is pretty explosive all the time. It's darn near unstoppable in the second half.
Dallas is averaging 28.7 points after halftime. The Patriots, Steelers, Bengals and Colts are the only other teams to average that many points per game.
Tony Romo credited Jason Garrett's ability to make adjustments for the Cowboys' second-half efficiency. Romo said the Cowboys often use the first quarter to feel out the opposing defense.
Jason Witten gave props to the massive offensive line: "Our offensive line plays pretty physical. We've been able to wear teams down."
Wade Phillips, perhaps feeling vindication after all the Camp Cupcake talk, raved about the Cowboys' conditioning.
"I like they way we finish now," Phillips said. "We have finished three games and we have been the dominant team in the fourth quarter."
Actually, the Cowboys' dominance begins as soon as they leave the locker room after halftime.
