A theme greeted the players when they returned from the bye week and went to work on Monday.

"Show them the identity of the Cowboys,'' running back Tashard Choice said. "Show them what we can do, then go out and do it.''

So, what is the identity of this team?

"To be honest with you, I think we're mentally tough this year,'' Choice said. "I say that because going through all the stuff, everything that happened with the dome, having to practice here and there, staying focused, everyone picking each other up, people taking personal blame for losses and not putting it on anyone else, everyone sticking together.''

"Coach has us working really hard. Even on the bye week, that was the hardest practice we've had since training camp. It was really tough. But we pushed through it and it got better.''

What is there to not like about the make up of this team? I'm loving it.

We're not going to win pretty, that's obvious. If we win a championship, it's because we clawed for every inch.

the defense has been the total opposite of mentally tough so far. they have given up points on the final drive either right before the half or at the end of the game in 4 out of the 1st 5 games. the only time they didn't do that was because TB missed a fg before the half.

Nothing irks me more than RB's screaming wooo every time they break off a long run (except maybe QB's wearing their hats backward). As long as TC continues to do this, this team will be considered a joke. Hey TC - just run and shut your mouth.
