I seriously don't know why Roy Williams continues to have to remind everyone how coachable he is.
It's my personal opinion that Williams is engaging in his own popularity campaign. If so, I believe he's re-enforcing the notion that his personality is nothing like that of his predecessor.
He should stop himself from doing so because it won't make any difference in the eyes of fans (or even that of the media's). Some will judge him on his ability to help make this offense efficient. Others will judge him based on whether he can meet or exceed Owen's productivity.
Should he fall short of either expectation, he will catch a wave of heated disappointment. If he derives personal motivation by pleasing others, great, but in my book, he should care less about what others think, play as well as he is capable of playing and attempt everything humanly possible to offset that which has been his worst enemy throughout his short career--injuries. If he succeeds at that, his success on-the-field should follow.
