Rivalry game moved to prime slot
If you like those noon kickoffs, this is probably starting to get pretty annoying. The NFL has moved the Nov. 18 game between the Cowboys and Commanders to the 3:15 p.m. slot to accomodate a more national broadcast for FOX.
The Cowboys are maxed out on primetime games, so this probably won't be the last time a noon kickoff is moved back three hours. For the record, there are two more games on the slate marked for noon: Dec. 9 at Detroit, and Dec. 30 at Washington.
Judging by the standings, if things stay the same, the Lions game will likely be moved back. And if both the 'Skins and 'Boys keep winning, the season finale between archrivals probably will be too.
Were that to happen, Dallas would finish the season having played just one noon kickoff -- the game a couple weeks back against 0-7 St. Louis. This, it goes without saying, is all a display of the Cowboys' widespread appeal.
The only game going against D.C.-Dallas on Nov. 18 on FOX will be a dog: 49ers-Rams. So unless you live within an earshot of the Arch or the Bay, you'll probably get it.
