The Cowboys have cut nose tackle Tim Anderson.

Anderson was signed on Jan. 26 after sitting out last season following four seasons with Buffalo and Atlanta. His chances of making the team took a hit when he suffered a toe injury during the off-season conditioning program that required surgery. He missed all of the OTAs and mini-camp as well as the first week of training camp.

In his second practice he sprained his left ankle but he played in the preseason opener against Oakland and was not credited with a tackle.

With Anderson gone, the Cowboys have Junior Siavii and Jonas Seawright as the backups behind Jay Ratliff.

Lets hope some other teams make some cuts so we can pick up a little depth.

I hope we can pickup someone after cuts are made by other teams. Just don't feel good about our backups right now.

That's kind of weird. Some people thought he was outplaying Siavii, and he's known as a hard worker.

Maybe they decided he was just too injured to make it this year.

We might just need to pick up a vet here until we can draft someone with potential. I mean just someone who can eat up some blockers. He wont even have to apply pressure just play a couple of run downs during the season.

I really think some big names or well known names are going to get the boot from some other teams.

And if nothing else, just to give Ratliff a break during a game without having to reset the whole defense.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Tank Johnson was a total miscast for that position last year. We need a brick wall type that will just hold his ground and let the playmakers do their thing behind him.

I've always contended the most important players on that great Ravens defense from their super bowl year were Sam Adams and Tony Siragusa. Siragusa probably moreso than Sam Adams b/c he always required a double and never got pushed back. He even allowed Sam to make plays.

I know it's asking a lot but we need a guy like that, or at least someone with his body type. You can teach him technique if he has the right attitude. When it's all said and done Bradie James will end up in the probowl.

Roster spot open.

Who gets signed?

I'll predict Al Johnson.

If that happens I predict 10 threads started that say he is no better than proctor.

Okay but you're not allowed to start 9 of them.

Anderson must not be 100% or got reinjured, otherwise it makes little sense, especially w/the lack of quality depth at that spot.

If anyone deserved to be cut after the game on Thursday, it should have been Willie Reed. He could have been Wade's Curvin Richards. The guy was NOT going to make the roster anyway.

Crosslin also looked like an absolute joke as a lead blocker on Choice's failed TD attempt on the goalline.

It's just as likely that he IS 100 percent healthy, and they cut him before he got reinjured and had to go on IR or get an injury settlement.

I didn't see much from him,but I didn't see much effort from the team as a whole either.I wish they would of cut someone from the offensive side of the ball also to make a point, either you perform or your gone.Hopefully the personel dept. knows of a better player out there on the street(or a vet that will be cut) that will take his place. In conclusion, I like it that they cut someone to churn the bottom of the roster.

Great decision......I keep looking at this guy in training camp and all I saw was a great beer drinking body!
