We know the Cowboys' game against the New York Giants will remain on Sunday night on Dec. 14 for NBC to pull down mega numbers. That's no surprise.

What about their finale at Philly on Dec. 28?

The Cowboys could find themselves closing the year with three straight night games if their finale at Philadelphia is moved from a noon kickoff to NBC. Both teams have one more prime-time opening available. (Their Dec. 20 Texas Stadium farewell against Baltimore will be on NFL Network at 7 p.m.)

While the league determines the start times of games on Sunday's no later than 12 days prior to the weekend, the Week 17 flex scheduie decision may be made on six days notice. In other words, they will try to determine the playoff implications in other Week 17 matchups before making a switch.

I hate night games, but we've faired fairly well on primetime in recent years. I just hate waiting all day to watch the Cowboys.

They will only flex it if it has playoff implications and hopefully we will have things locked up by then.

I doubt it happens. Philly will be done by then and the 'Boys will be needing another division W so we are looking at a 24-30 point difference.

3:00 games are bad enough but those night games are killer. Seems I can't get anything done all day. All day it's just wait, wait, wait and wait some more. Sux as bad as a trip to the DMV.

If we beat Pitt and NY and Philly stays in it then it will be huge. It could be for the WC. I doubt it but that would be huge.

I think FOX can protect at least one game from being flexed. If this game has any relevance they will not let it go. Heck they might not let it go even if it was a meaningless game. At the most the time might get switched to 4:00. Cowboys = ratings.

You are correct and FOX will protect this game. The first meeting between Philly and Dallas was on ESPN's MNF. No way FOX lets the re-match go even if there are no playoff implications in the game. FOX won't lose both Philly-Dallas match ups in the same season. That is bad for ratings.
