No. It doesn't matter who drafted him. It's based entirely on how long he has been in the NFL.

Good to know, Thanks.

Is this based on there being no Cap next year?

I wonder what it would look like if there is a Cap..

Only ones I want back are Austin, Bowen OR Hatcher, Hurd, maybe Sense, and Spears.

And those are only if they will accept minimal to mid-level contracts.

I wouldn't give Austin anything over 35-40 million either. He's not an elite WR, just like Marion wasn't and isn't an elite RB back when we payed him.

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT
OG Montrae Holland - Goodbye. Especially since if you leave we can go out and sign 1 more free agent.

This is actually a really great point. The new rules punish playoff teams who don't have many unrestricted free agents coming loose. Ridiculous.

Yes, it is. If there is a cap, players with four or five years in the league will be unrestricted rather than restricted.

*MUST* resign Austin, Bowen, Hatcher, Sensabaugh.

Maybe: Preston, Spears, Ball, Holland

Dallas should trade Roy11, Barbie and a draft pick to Oakland for Johnnie Lee Higgins and Thomas Howard

Since he came at vet minimum he was a good deal this year and likely comes cheap again, so I'm ok with having him on the roster. But we could really upgrade here. He had only 1 interception all season, no forced fumbles, no sacks and obviously blew it when it mattered most in the last game. In contrast, the Cardinals SS Adrian Wilson had 5 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 4 sacks.
