Jay Ratliff had arthroscopic surgery on both elbows to remove bone spurs but the two-time Pro Bowl nose tackle will be ready for the beginning of the team's off-season conditioning program that starts in March.

Ratliff was considering having a scope on his knee but came out of the Pro Bowl without any issues. The coaches credited Ratliff with 83 tackles to go with seven sacks, eight tackles for loss, 33 pressures, a pass deflection, two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

DeMarcus Ware is also scheduled to have a bone spur removed from his left foot but has yet to go under the knife. He would also be back in time for the off-season program.

I still can't believe Ratliff was a seventh round pick, and he's turned into a star player. It happens, but it's rare. The odds are stacked against you.

At Auburn, he wasn't a dominant guy.

He is now.

The 2004 Auburn/LSU game was stacked with NFL players. They were all over the place.

I hope Ware don't wait around too long to have his feet grinding done. These things have a way of dragging out and causing problems closer to camp.

Nice...very nice.

To be honest I thought "Jeremiah Ratliff" was going to be a nobody.

What a force he's turned into. An absolute gem.

one of the best lower round picks this team has ever had: along with Staubach, Hennings, Larry Brown, etc.....

I was thinking the same thing. Just get it done and start healing.
