No fuzzy one, but there are numerous accounts of Free getting bull rushed or speed rushed by Butler and at best he manages to block the guy half the time. And this is a rookie. What do you think would happen when this guy faces rushers like Tuck?

Wait you're telling me Dallas and their coaches are the only ones in the league that try and put out as much postive about their team as possible to the press?

Wow. I didn't realise this was a revolutionary idea or anything.

I don't know if I like the way this team makes everybody swap positions because of an injury. Freaking bring somebody else in that is suited to play tackle if a tackle goes down and let these marginal talent linemen focus on ONE position.

Lets just say Phillips and JJ's ways while referring to players progress is a 180 from Parcells ways.

And I prefer the way Parcells did it for this instance.

Guess who said these things, and guess about whom he said them --

"(He) has an enormous amount of ability. He has, it seems to be, everything you need to be a good player."

"He's got good balance, quick, strong. He's pretty smart."

"There isn't any question about his ability, and he seems to be able to assimilate the information well. ... He is making good, steady progress and I'm very, very pleased with him."

"(He) would be the first guy in at left tackle if Flozell doesn't (play)."

"(Other teams) would be on him like panthers. Don't worry, he's staying."

Bill Parcells reffering to Pat McQuistern, what do I win? :)

You win nothing because there is no such thing as a Pat McQuistern.

We have a McQuistan though.

What do EYE win?

Great job Adam, you've found quotes of Parcells giving his praises for a player. Not once did I say that Parcells never said his players were doing a good job.

Those quotes dont mean much. We all know Parcells ways were to never let a team get too big of a head, and with that he tried to keep the hype and hula about his players down a bit.

And he also had his pet cats, some who could not play for shait. Wade has had 2 real drafts, Parcells had SIX. And both blew smoke up their players boom shoot, and neither found any success in the draft SO FAR.

Parcells sucked just as bad in finding and developing OL.

I never said Parcells was great at finding OL. He was terrible.

I'm just saying you'll never hear Phillips say "Lets put away the anointing oil"

Are you serious? So Parcells knew his way around a quip, so what? Instead of witty sound bites, I'd rather my coach DID something.

At least Wade still has a chance to turn this around, Parcells is done, finito.

Yes I'm serious. And it has nothing to do with witty sound bites, it has nothing to do with actual coaching. It has to do with not saying how good every player is.

I dont think you understand what I'm saying. I am simply stating that Phillips talks all of his players up like they're the best thing since sliced bread, while Parcells did the opposite many times.

Thats it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Then we'll have to agree to disagree b/c I thought Parcells TALKED a better game than he coached. It was excruciating watching his teams. Parcells took the field position game to the extreme AND he liked trick plays on offense but refused to adjust AT ALL on defense.

Wade's teams are at the very least exciting to watch, on offense and defense. It was under Wade that the offense broke the Cowboys passing records AND the defense led the league in sacks. Now the ST is coming around. Wade may be a lousy interview to some, but he has been much more productive in terms of achieving milestones.

But when you come right down to it, neither has won in the post season. So I don't know why you consider Parcells' coaching to be so much preferable/greater than Wade's. It looks like a tie so far, w/Wade at least making SOME games watchable.

BP did not win here- but then he had only two chances. One with a team that was not talented and one with that came very close to winning. Phillips has NEVER won anything. BP has two rings and went to another. So frankly that is a joke comparing them.

As regards to McQ he was always saying it was potential. And he was not the only one that sang MCq's praises early on.

Free looked adequate tonight- but then he was not facing any top pass rushers was he?
