Have you been to camp?

BraveHeartFan;2881742 said:Wait you're telling me Dallas and their coaches are the only ones in the league that try and put out as much postive about their team as possible to the press?
Wow. I didn't realise this was a revolutionary idea or anything.
NextGenBoys;2881783 said:And I prefer the way Parcells did it for this instance.
AdamJT13;2881832 said:Guess who said these things, and guess about whom he said them --
"(He) has an enormous amount of ability. He has, it seems to be, everything you need to be a good player."
"He's got good balance, quick, strong. He's pretty smart."
"There isn't any question about his ability, and he seems to be able to assimilate the information well. ... He is making good, steady progress and I'm very, very pleased with him."
"(He) would be the first guy in at left tackle if Flozell doesn't (play)."
"(Other teams) would be on him like panthers. Don't worry, he's staying."

We have a McQuistan though.
What do EYE win?
NextGenBoys;2882343 said:Great job Adam, you've found quotes of Parcells giving his praises for a player. Not once did I say that Parcells never said his players were doing a good job.
Those quotes dont mean much. We all know Parcells ways were to never let a team get too big of a head, and with that he tried to keep the hype and hula about his players down a bit.
BAT;2882582 said:And he also had his pet cats, some who could not play for shait. Wade has had 2 real drafts, Parcells had SIX. And both blew smoke up their players boom shoot, and neither found any success in the draft SO FAR.
Parcells sucked just as bad in finding and developing OL.
NextGenBoys;2883442 said:I never said Parcells was great at finding OL. He was terrible.
I'm just saying you'll never hear Phillips say "Lets put away the anointing oil"
BAT;2883499 said:Are you serious? So Parcells knew his way around a quip, so what? Instead of witty sound bites, I'd rather my coach DID something.
At least Wade still has a chance to turn this around, Parcells is done, finito.
NextGenBoys;2883621 said:Yes I'm serious. And it has nothing to do with witty sound bites, it has nothing to do with actual coaching. It has to do with not saying how good every player is.
I dont think you understand what I'm saying. I am simply stating that Phillips talks all of his players up like they're the best thing since sliced bread, while Parcells did the opposite many times.
Thats it. Nothing more, nothing less.
