Barry Horn E-mail News tips

The owners are meeting at some fancy schmancy resort. It was at the same meeting last year that the first week's TV schedule was announced.

Crickets say that the season will open Sept. 10 with the Titans-Steelers on NBC on Thursday night. Here's an interesting twist: The Rangers have afternoon games scheduled for the first three Sundays of the NFL season _ Sept. 13 - Sept. 20 - Sept. 27.

Didn't we hear something about shared parking lots in Arlington.

Maybe the Cowboys will open up the JonesMahal on a Monday Night on ESPN? Well, the Rangers are hosting a night game on Sept. 14.

This could get interesting. Very interesting.

wow.

It really is a frightening thing to think they could have games at the same time. If the rangers even were to have 20,000 fans at a game the parking and driving situation is going to be an ubelievable mess.

Don't worry, the Strangers will be out of contention by late July, and that is optimistic. I don't think parking will be a problem.

Most likely they will swap the Strangers weekend with the other team. It happened before especially when teams shared stadiums, as in the playoffs, for both sports.

I understand, but one thing I have noticed because I like going to the ballpark, is that people buy tickets again in september, especially the final two homestands and even moreso when its a weekend.

And this qualifies as both! Now in august, the ballpark is a ghost town, but in september it cools down a little, its the end of the season and the die hard baseball fans come out for one final visit before the season ends.

I think they have actually sold out the final two homestands even though they were playing poorly the last couple of years.

Yeah, true, wasn't thinking it was the last homestands. I haven't even looked at any schedules yet. They will do something to avoid games played on same day.

If the parking situation were ok, I actually would love to have a day where I just parked, went to a 1:05 rangers game, came out tailgated and then watched a 7:05 cowboys game!!!!!!

I think that would be a great day!
