The best NTs are usually shorter then 6'5"

The guy will get a chance to prove himself. I don't have any issue with the Cowboys bringing Siavii to camp.

330 lb. DE? I'm not buying it.

Why not? He is 6'-5". Sometimes the DE in the 3-4 is just taking up space and at his size he could do that. The question is can he do more than that? If not, then he won't be a Cowboy past training camp. The plan or hope is probably for him to actually lose some of that 330 lbs. I don't expect much from him. Just an extra body to bring to camp at this point.

Agreed.

It's not like we're guaranteeing him anything.

If he doesn't work out, we move on.

Just part of the 80 man roster you bring to camp. Some will call him camp fodder I tend to look at is as an opportunity for a young man to prove himself and earn a spot on the team. As you said if he fails we move on if he can impress he has a chance to be a Dallas Cowboy.

and sometimes an extra body -- even one that played terribly in the past and couldn't justify his draft position -- can come in and contribute -- see Willy Blade.

huge longshot but you don't find guys this size growing on trees.

Maybe its' just me, but I'd rather limit our 330 pounders to the NT and OL positions. We already have one overweight underachiever at DE that continually gets berated on this board, why would we want to add another?

I never said a DE can't be 330 lbs, just that I'm not buying this particular one at DE. I'll believe it when I see it. If he proves me wrong, it's a win-win situation. :)

If you get cut by the Chiefs, Saints, Browns and Bucs you know you suck.

:starspin You hit the nail on the head. I live in the Kansas City area and he never did a thing for the Chiefs while he was here, and if the Saints, Browns, and Bucs let him go, I think that says it all.

He has ZERO chance of beating any of our current DE's for a job...so his only possibility is at the nose.

Guess it doesn't hurt, but this guy is going through NFL teams like Romo's going through blonde singers.

Joe Juraszek is going to turn this big pile of trash into a garbage can full of dirt so he can play NT.
