Cowboys talk with Henne

Don't know exactly what the meaning of this is -- Michigan QB Chad Henne said the Cowboys were one of two teams to sit down with him so far, the Commanders being the other.

I've been advised that everyone talks to everyone, but I really believed that was relative. Henne, in case you didn't know, will probably be gone by the end of the second round, which makes it silling, considering Romo's new riches, to think that Dallas would even consider him.

Maybe they were discussing the Wolverines complete and utter inability to beat Ohio State. It is a fascinating topic.

Yes Please. I am all for bringing on a young qb.

I still wish we could have had somehow landed edwards in the third round last year.

They were probably interested in talking about Manningham.

I agree. We need to bring in a young QB to develop into a probable backup (or if we luck into it, a starting caliber QB)

I don't want to do it on the first day....

It means once Jerry talked to him Snyder had to also.:lmao:

I don't see the Cowboys taking Henne (or any other QB ) very high this year. However, you can never have too many good QBs and having a Matt Schaub type of commodity on the roster is never a bad thing (for a variety of reasons).

LOL.

We may have talked to him in case he slipped to the 3rd round or later, looking for a potential backup QB.

The Commanders probably talked to him, in hopes of finding a starting QB.

:lmao2:

Drew Stanton was a guy we talked to at the Senior Bowl and Combine last year, IIRC.

Remind me, did we take a QB last year? ;)

Very similar to Ohio States' complete and utter inability to beat anyone in the SEC, Albert. Very similar.

I think Henne is a quality QB but he's not accurate enough with the deep ball...
Neither is Romo.

I wish we had kept Matt Moore. That move bothers me to this day.

Me too. I was impressed with him as a undrafted rookie. He seemed to be able to move the team down the field and did not make as many turnovers a rookie usually makes. I wish they would of found a way to have kept him.

This year's version may be Paul Smith from Tulsa. A bit undersized though.
