It just makes me sad to see my Quarterback being treated like Paris Hilton or any one of those attention ******. Reason #520 why you don’t date a Jessica Simpson. To see him being protected by bodyguards from TMZ, his hands on his head and to see that gay club band around his wrist...it just makes him look too human.

Tony, stop spending weekends in LA, its where hte paparazzi are centralized! You want seclusion, stay in Texas, keep a low profile, date none famous women.

I hate to jump on a guy and tell him who to date and all that mumbo jumbo. But if Romo or anyone ever wonders why he receives such hate, it's because of things like this. People get tired of having a good QB, but one who has never won a playoff game, constantly shoved down their throats. And when he's constantly on the covers of magazines for dating famous women and such stuff, he enters that category.

Romo might not care what others think. And maybe that's a good thing. But there's no question things like this just bring out the hate.

I'm going to say it again: What is with the Hollywood stuff anyway? Did he fall into this because of Jessica and now he just has friends out there, or is there something about him that enjoys the place? Someone (Gemini Dolly?) said he was already going out there when he was third string, but no one noticed then. I don't know.

It's just weird to me. As much as I think Big Ben is a degenerate whose brainpower couldn't light up an LED -- and he has been photographed drunk out of his mind like an idiot several times -- at least he comes off as a tough guy, an actual football player. Jay Cutler supposedly likes to drink his fair share of beer, but it's in town in Chicago. Sure, the average guy might say "I'd jet out there all the time and hit the hotties too!!1!!", but you do have to be concerned about what your teammates think about you. IMO QBs have to especially consider the way their teammates see them because they already play a so-called "soft" position and their teammates, well, don't.

Basically, Parcells was right. You have to be a battlefield commander and not a celebrity QB. And the whole reason for that isn't because you'll know the offense or throw the ball better, it's so your teammates will have the utmost respect for you.

I'm worried that this just part of who Romo is. I think he's attracted to the lights, the partying ... and if you look at the girls he's dated, he's attracted to celebrity. He seems like a happy-go-lucky frat boy stuck in a pro quarterback's body.

He broke up with his girlfriend, which is his business. He's also an avid golfer. I just don't see the crime in it all. Maybe he should just lay low for a while, but not because he's doing anything wrong, but because everyone (media and fans) has lost their damn minds.

CL, this isn't a male/female thing. There have been a ton of "Romo's gone hollywood"-type threads to which there's almost been blood drawn in them by males and females alike.

The discussions have gone round and round to the point most probably feel it's not even worth posting about anymore. Notice how little traction this thread has gotten. Lines have been drawn and people have established their stances and nothing's gonna change based on a video or pic.

He was doing a memorabilia event over the weekend, and then he's got the ESPYs as well. Why not stay out there in between the events? You're being a little "silly" on this one. Is he supposed to go out there for the weekend, fly back to Dallas, then fly back the next day?
