If this guy impresses I still think we can trade Ellis to the Bengals. Maybe for Brian Leonard or Jerome Simpson. But most likely a Jason Ferguson type deal. Ellis and a 7th(or Watkins) for a 5th

Cowboyjoe. Thanks for all your draft info. I bookmarked the info you had with the videos and analysis of all the guys we drafted and signed and watched them when I wasn't so busy. Thanks again. Appriciate it.

I don't know how Herring is judging his "most athletic of the 4 rookie LBs" b/c Butler does not have the lateral agility or the foot speed of either Williams or Hodge.

But the Cowboys must have saw something that few saw b/c they drafted Butler earlier than anyone projected. I just hope Butler is more Tom Brady than Kavika Pittman.

Ellis is more valuable on our roster. He's a team captain and his play and leadership back that up - whether people want to admit that or not.

Why must everyone assume the choice will come down to Eliis or the drafted OLBs? Potentailly, Dallas can keep them all. In fact, Dallas can sign all 12 draft picks to the roster, because it's not hard to find 12 other veternad who don't belong - and Ellis in nowhere near that list.

Kiper gave Butler a 7.9 (which can equate to the 4th round)and ranked him a couple spots ahead of Brandon Williams as an end. He also ran a faster 40 than Brandon Williams who had problems running the 40.

A guy like Ellis kills a 3-4 defense. you need your best athletes running down the qb, rb and covering the backs out of the backfield.....at this point Ellis can do only one of those things

He continues to limit what the defense can do ( he should be a 3-4 end this year not linebacker(lacks quickness, lateral movement and speed)

joe, keep an eye out for these 2 receivers

Ole Miss WR Dexter McCluskey (led the Rebs in rushing and tied for the team lead in receptions)

and my personal favorite, Clemson WR Jacoby Ford (speed demon)

these 2 guys are fast, big plays waiting to happen

I've seen Ford play and I wouldn't mind him. He has big play ability and is FAST.

The 40 is overrated anyway, but BW had an injury when he ran at the combine.

I would love to have Ford on this team. His speed is exactly what we need at the WR position. And yea I know we have Miles but Ford is blazing fast right out of the blocks and elusive as well, not a long strider like Miles.
