Sorry fellas but I would wait til the end of the year.. He's under contract now.. Let him play it out.. I'm not wishing harm on him, but what if he blows out a knee or only gets 5 sacks this year.. Then everybody will be saying that Jerry is stupid for giving him all that money.. Freeney got paid in Indy.. Got hurt and hasnt lived up to his contract.. There's always the franchise tag if things get dicey...

I have all the faith in Jerry to get the deal done. I will say I would hope it would be done before the start of the season just to get that out of the way. I would hate to see a break down in negotiation that would bring unwanted attention to the situation

Sorry bro, but I gotta agree with burmafrd on this one. That philosophy is just way too short sighted. Injuries can happen at any time in football. It has absolutely nothing to do with contract negotiations unless a player is already injured or has a history of injuries.

Get him signed and wrap this thing up. He's the most dominant player on the team and arguably the entire NFL.

Why is it that every deal we give makes the rest of the league gasp? Why can't we be like the Giants or the Patriots and sign a contract that is good for the team? Ware is the type of player that we should pay, but I would trade him for 3 #1s and get some other contracts done if his asking price was out of whack.
