Return specialist Allen Rossum walked by reporters on the way to the meeting room Wednesday and said he would stop to talk about his injury more on Thursday.

"I'm taking the day off,'' Rossum said. "I'm going to sit over here in my Lazy Boy.''

He didn't sit in a Lazy Boy. But he wasn't cleared to practice due to a pulled hamstring and he's not expected to play Sunday.

Patrick Crayton, meanwhile, now ranks seventh in the NFL with 12.8 yards a punt return.

The two players missing from practice are fullback Deon Anderson and defensive back Allen Rossum.

Anderson has battled a knee injury some this year. We will know what's up after practice. Rossum is nursing a hamstring injury.

Players are in pads today for practice and it was interesting to see Wade Phillips call the team up after stretching for a quick message.

OK, so who is going to come up with a snappy name for Anderson? Deon "fragile as a Cricket" Anderson? "Deon Injuredson"? Come 'on people. We no longer have Stanglass around. :lmao2:

It's the same knee and he's playing through it so far. That doesn't make him fragile.

Anderson doesn't get nearly the amount of credit that he deserves. He's a devastating lead blocker and has done a great job picking up the blitz when asked to this season.

UPDATE: Deon Anderson is "sick," so it's nothing serious. Hopefully it's not the swine flu!

Crickett picked up the blitz coming off the edge perfectly for Romo's TD pass to Austin.

Not to mention, he's one of our best special teams players.

I may be a little biased though, I'm a UConn alum.

I wouldn't call him devastating, but he has done a very nice job this year.
