Well, there's one thing we can all be happy about, regardless of whether he's there at #22 or not -- we certainly seem like we're dead set on taking a corner at 22.

I'd rather trade up to #12 for DRC than #4 for DMC
if his cousin didn't intercept 12 passes this past season i doubt you would say that.

I completely agree with you!! :lombardi:

Should take less to trade up for Cromartie and CB position filled.

I've heard he ....

-- works out with Roger Clemens
-- is stockpiling pit bulls
-- calls himself Pacman II
-- doesn't place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem or pledge
-- hates children
-- is the father of Jamie Lynn Spears' baby
-- gets his kicks greasing the hand-rails at retirement homes
-- parties with Jose Canseco
-- lives in a van down by the river
-- admires Tom Cruise
-- videotapes his opponents practicing

:bravo:

QUESTION: how good is this kid? is he really all that and a bucket of chicken or do we see what the other Cromartie has done and we assume he'll be the same?

yes, i'm asking out of my own ignorance, but i'm curious.

Well, I haven't seen him play, but he did have a very good week at the Senior Bowl (since he went to a small school you get the knock that he didn't play top notch competition), and he had a good combine workout. Those two will usually move you up in the draft.

Heck, I'd be happy with him, Cason, or McKelvin in the first.

Cason, McKelvin or DRC two of those in the first would work for me.

Right on Yeag. I've said it a million times, you can never have too many good CB's in this pass happy league.

Classic. Especially the last one.

Classic.

But I also heard that he's a regular at strip clubs and rolls with a 30 person entourge.

I don't think that's the main factor. People saw his Senior Bowl game, where he was easily (one of) the MVPs, plus his measurables are great. That by itself is enough to get most people salivating.

His cousin helps, but it's not what made him.

so it's not the fact that his cousin was the biggest playmaker at the position last year but the fact that he played good in the senior bowl. riiiiiight

I can't remember who said it, but I heard on the ticket that the thing about DRC is that the teams that played against Tenn St knew who he was, but they didn't adjust thier game plans for him.

They weren't worried about him and they didn't target him.... you would like to think at that level he'd be a guy that you'd stay away from?

Just some added insight, it was repeated from an offensive coach in the same league as Tenn St.

FWIW I would still take him, but I don't want to trade up for him.
