Tank Johnson said he feels much more confident in all aspects of his play now that he's spent the entire off-season at Valley Ranch. I'm not sure we truly realize how difficult it was for someone to come in at mid-season, learn the plays, try to get back in shape and actually make an impact in an NFL game.

Johnson's past is just that now -- the past. He's talking about getting into the Pro Bowl this season and playing a prime role in helping the Cowboys reach the Super Bowl. How he splits nose tackle duties with Jay Ratliff must still be fleshed out. But you can tell Johnson is primed and ready for the upcoming season.

Here are some tidbits from a Q-and-A session with the Tank.

"For me, this sky's the limit right now," Johnson said. "The run game, I feel very confident in my abilities in the run game as well as the pass rush. I've been a successful pass rusher since I've been in the league. Now that I know where I'm supposed to go and where I'm supposed to be at, I can get better in all aspects of my game."

I seriously think one of these "gamble on" acquisitions we've gotten in the last 2-3 years, turns into a key component to a 6th SB ring. And the sooner the better!

Tank Johnson, would be just as good a bet as the other two or three, to be that guy IMO.

It also doesn't hurt that he started for the Bears & they won their 2 playoff games even tho they lost in the SB. So he certainly understands and saw the mindset needed to get to the big game.

I just don't buy all of this talk. Yeah, he looks huge. Yeah, last year was impressive. But I don't buy talk. Talk is cheap in August. It's even cheaper in June.
