Atlanta guard Tyson Clabo took the blame for the 37-21 beating the Cowboys applied to the Falcons. Well, speaking for the offensive line, he took the blame.

Ryan, who had not been sacked since the season opener, was hunted down four times for 24 yards worth of losses. It ties for the most times he's ever been sacked. The other occasion in which he went down four times was his second NFL start against Tampa Bay last year.

"I really think it come down to our ability to protect," Clabo said. "I mean, they kicked our butt. We have to do a much better job. To their credit they are good pass rushers. We knew we had a challenge on our hands. The problem with their deal is the fact that they have five good pass rushers. And we are a lot of times just one-on-one with those guys because you can't put a back on them. They just got the better of us today. They kind of whipped us."

The guy I'm excited about but also feel bad for is Spencer. I swear he's getting there about 4 times per game but is just not getting the sack. I just hope he's one of those guys that's gonna stay hungry and keep coming back.

In the stadium, it looked like men and boys. We absolutely manhandled them in all phases of the game.

What a fun game.

I have seen keith brooking taunt anyone in my life. he taunted the falcons bench after every bad play they made. I thought he was going to get a penalty or start a fight.

What a great night.

I know it's been said here a million times, but that was such an incredible pick-up. I thought it was a decent pick-up when it happened, but by no means was I amped up about what he was going to bring to the team. I a lot more excited when we brought in Zach Thomas.... and that didn't really turn out too well.

He's been such an amazing leader on that D. He brings a lot of passion... and I think it's starting to rub off a little bit.

I was thinking the same thing after seeing a few blatant taunts on the broadcast. I guess they were giving him some leeway considering the circumstances.

It was funny, though! :laugh2:

I cant remember what play it was exactly, but one time he pointed right at mike smith and then ran down the length of the falcons sideline pointing at everyone.

he was going crazy today.

I think he was taunting the coaches, he talked after the game about how he was driven by the fact that the last thing he heard from Atlanta coaches was "this is a young man's game".

I don't know if they flag or fine for taunting coaches or other people, think it's only player-player.

:laugh2: Thanks, WG. The last thing I want to see are some Falcons trolls here. Although I doubt they'd come here after getting their butts kicked.

Alot of pressure today from the line, DWare was getting around, and I noticed Spencer moving his man quite a bit. Pass rush makes all the difference.

He gets zero credit, but Steven Bowen spends an awful lot of time in the opponents' backfield, for no more playing time than he gets.

I didn't know much about him, but at the time I remember wondering if Parcells might want to draft him, because Clabo was 6-7 or whatever and Bill loves those tall, long-armed O-linemen.

Anyway, cool stories about us whipping them up front. Remember how Wade said they worked on refining the smallest details of their technique over the bye week... Maybe that made a difference.

It was kind of weird to see Ryan misfire a few times after we started getting to him. That first drive he looked a precision machine.

He's probably just talking about the five positions that typically rush -- the three down linemen and the two outside linebackers -- rather than five particular players.
