The most exciting moment of last night's Miller Lite Silver and Blue Debut (official name for the practice at Texas Stadium) occurred when a knucklehead fan jumped down onto the field and made security look like the Cowboys defense chasing Donovan McNabb on that Monday night play years ago.
I counted six missed tackles. I think poor conditioning caught up to the dude, who appeared to be in his 30s or 40s, because he basically collapsed in a heap when trying to split a couple of Irving cops.
The crowd got a big kick of the show, and so did the players. DE Chris Canty was chanting, "Let him go!" as the guy was getting cuffed.
Wade Phillips and Jerry Jones, two serious football men, were pondering whether the guy could help the Cowboys.
"He looked good," Phillips deadpanned. "If he had gotten through all of them, I think we might have signed him. I know Jerry was looking real hard at him." :
