First-team offense to get more time

Look for most of the No. 1 offense to play the first half Saturday against Denver with Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Jason Witten and Marion Barber probably going a quarter.


That will allow Brad Johnson to take a turn with the first-team offensive line for at least a quarter. He had one series behind the No. 1 unit vs. San Diego.


"I think it's protection first," coach Wade Phillips said. "And I think the running game too even though we're taking Barber out. We feel like we've got some good runners that can help us there."

I'd expect the other RBs to get a ride with the first team. WRs too. I was surprised they didn't get a good look last week. How do you really know what they will do in a game situation with wholesale changes. I'd like to see Choice and Felix with the first team. And some of Bennett and Amendola. I'd also like to see the Atkinson kid.
