Here is a play no one has mentioned yet:

1981 NFC Championship Game in San Francisco. Right after Dwight Clark makes his catch, Dallas gets the ball back around the 20 yard line. Danny White hits Drew Pearson about 25 yards downfield on the very first play.

Eric Wright just gets his fingertips on Pearson's jersey and is able to get Drew down just inside 49er territory.

If Drew slips that hand, then the game is totally different - history also.

What was the score, and how much time was left in the game when

1) Duane Thomas fumbled in Supe 5
2) Benny Barnes was penalized in Supe 13

If I remember correctly, it was 13-6 Dallas at the time of the fumble. That touchdown would have given Dallas a 2 touchdown lead and pretty much seal the game.

In Super Bowl XIII, Pittsburgh had a 21-17 lead late in the 3rd quarter. Then the wheels came off for Dallas. Moments earlier, Jackie Smith dropped the would be tying touchdown. The Cowboys had to settle for a field goal to make it 21-17.

This is now officially the most overrated "bad play" in team history.

He keeps running we win the game. He had a step on his man and was running to open space. An option for Tony?? Tony thought so...

No one and I mean no one said, oh thats ok Patrick when he stopped running during the game. Everyone was pist.

1. The catch
2. Crayton's 2007 playoff drop
3. The phony interference call on Benny Barnes in the SB against Pitts.
4. Jackie Smith's drop
5. Grammatica's non block to keep Romo from scoring after the bobbled snap. If he just falls in front of the defender Romo scores a TD instead of the would-be FG that went awry.

Pretty good list here. The # 1 for me is the worst call in Super Bowl history when Fred Swearingen called Barnes for PI. It was either a no call or offensive pass interference since Swann (believe it was Swann) actually tripped up Barnes from behind. The NFL actually issued an apology the next day or two and said it was a bad call. Like that made me feel any better.
