I think Igor is a full notch below Canty. Hes a little smaller and easier to move, relatively speaking.

All reports on Sensabaugh have been positive. Wonder why he was so cheap, his off the field stuff didnt sound awful.

Igor is not as big as Canty....

Canty is 6'7 w/ a huge wingspan, thick legs and still getting bigger(moving to DT).

We dont have to bow down to every Cowboy, its ok, we made the right move b/c Canty got overpaid

:lmao2: he's barely smaller

he gives up an inch and a half, 2 inches in height

btw, ever heard of leverage?

Not to mention he's strong as a ox. He's far from easy to move...

Talking to the guy who watches every NFLN replay.

Canty is tougher to move. Igor is mostly upper body.

Homer alert.....jeez

they're both tough as hell to move

you act like Igor is some kind of string-bean

and btw, Canty has a tendency of playing too tall, so...

But when he was on the Boys.....

"Canty is 6'13" 11ft. wingspan. He bats every pass down!!"

I love Igor, Great signing. That move and Sensabaugh had Stephen written all over them. Under the radar FA's below market value.

Actually when he was on the boys we criticized him for sucking the first half of the season and improved to servicable in the second half. He just wasn't very good. He had most of the defednive snaps and didn't make even half the plays that Ratliff did.

Canty was getting pushed around last season in the first half of the season. I don't know what team you were watching.

As for Olshansky, go watch his workout routines. He emphasizes strengthening his core over anything. The guy just all around is very very strong. Watching two Chargers game on NFLN notwithstanding.

Canty was good against the run and probably a better pash rusher than Igor. Although, I dont think he has Igor's Motor. Cant wait!

Brady James was on Irvin's show yesterday and said Igor was one of the biggest people on the planet, not in the nfl, on the planet. Scary big.

That made me smile, now I want to see igor, canty was a big dude but no one ever said he was one of the biggest on earth, like I said, made me smile.

Actually, the thing I remember being posted about Canty the most was the fact that he wasn't living up to the hype. He was supposed to a be 1st round talent guy that fell to the 4th because of injury issues. Quite frankly, I don't think any of us ended up seeing a 1st round talent guy. He's solid, no doubt, but he never lived up to the billing.

When most of us saw what he signed with the Giants for, we were all pretty relieved that Jerry didn't jump the shark to sign a pet cat that wasn't worth the cap hit (i.e. Roy Willy). I liked Canty, but I think he would have been grossly overpaid to play DE in a 3-4 scheme considering his lack of game changing ability. With the Giants in a 4-3 scheme as a DT he may be well worth the money. But in our scheme, it would have been a travesty to pay him that money and look at Ratliff with a straight face.

Good point. Ill watch him working out rather than actual games.

Then Ill watch Todd Lowber run sprints

According to NFL.com,

Canty is 6'7", 304 lbs.
Olshansky is 6'6, 309 lbs.

How does one look at Olshansky and think that he is smaller and easier to move? They are practically identically sized.

Edit: And I just looked it up, although it is not necessarily dispositive of the issue:

At the combine, Igor ran a 4.9, jumped 33.5 inches from a standstill, and benched 225 lbs a COMBINE BEST 43 times.
I can't find Canty's numbers at the combine, but I'd be shocked if he is stronger than Igor (and strength goes into how easily you are moved; see, e.g., Larry Allen).
