Breaking down Cowboys-Steelers

Here's how things look with the individual matchups in Sunday's game:

When the Cowboys run
With Marion Barber out, the Steelers must be licking their chops. The NFL's top-ranked run defense allows just 71.2 yards per game. Tashard Choice is no journeyman. He did win back-to-back ACC rushing titles at Georgia Tech and earn All-America honors.
EDGE: Pittsburgh

When the Cowboys pass
Today is Terrell Owens' 35th birthday. He'll either go off as a birthday present to himself or just look old. He must stretch the field whether he's guarded by Ike Taylor or Deshea Townsend. Just watch out for Troy Polamalu over the middle.
EDGE: Steelers

When the Steelers run
Defense, defense, defense. Has anyone noticed the Steelers are mediocre on offense? The running game ranks 22nd in the NFL. Keep track of Mewelde Moore on third down. He's got 15 catches for 125 yards out of the backfield.
EDGE: Cowboys

When the Steelers pass
The Cowboys might have some lineup tricks up their sleeve to make up for thin numbers at safety. They've talked about moving Anthony Henry to safety for some time. Hines Ward (6 touchdowns) is still as dangerous as ever.
EDGE: Even

Special teams
Pittsburgh's Jeff Reed has a leg up on Nick Folk. The Steelers' kicker drilled four field goals against New England in awful conditions. He's also had a week of practice in cold, windy climate. Folk is 15-for-17 on field goals this season, though.
EDGE: Steelers

Intangibles
These Cowboys won't try to avenge Super Bowl XIII. These Steelers don't care what happened in Super Bowl XXX, either. Both teams need to bolster their playoff resumes. These Cowboys are tired of hearing about how great these Steelers are, though.
EDGE: Cowboys
