With their season slipping away, the Cowboys did a lot of slipping in last Saturday's 27-26 loss to Arizona.

Asked if the slips were a turf issue, Cowboys interim coach Jason Garrett said, ``It was. Our guys got to the warm-ups early and tested a variety of pairs of shoes and that was an issue. Guys were sliding around; they were sliding around on our side and also on their side. We tried to do our best in terms of our preparation of having the right shoes, but it did come up a couple of times.''

Moving the Eagles' game against Minnesota to Tuesday because of a blizzard did not sit well in Philadelphia.

The Tuesday game will also affect the Cowboys' preparations. They will have to delay some of their game-planning.

``One of the things we always do is when playing a team that is playing Monday night or in some kind of scheduling issue you try to process that as best you can in and around the regular preparation you're doing,'' interim coach Jason Garrett said.

The grass at the Cardinals' stadium is terrible. You could see chunks of it all over the field.

When that stadium was built, I remember reading article after article about how wonderful that real grass was going to be and how they can roll it in and out under the sun for growth. They said there would never be better grass anywhere.

That grass was horrible at the Cards stadium.

Seems guys need to get out there and make the hard cuts they will have to make in the game not just jogging around. To me getting good footing is kind of important when playing football. You should not have to be waiting until the game is underway to figure out if you have the right cleats on.

Reading comprehension is not one of your strong suits. I see why you only have 215 posts in 6 years. Maybe you need to work on that reading comprehension a little more so you won't make idiotic posts insinuating that Garrett blamed the loss on the slippery field.

If it looks like crap and feels like crap, switch cleats.

U'd think AZ would have multiple fields. Why not reserve one for professional play and slide the other one in whenever any other league or sport needs a spot.

I'm sure they have but we seem to do allot of slipping, this was not the 1st instance where the WR falls down and gives up the ints. this year

I remember from when we played Pittsburgh in Arizona in the last SB we were in.
It always seemed like we were slipping a bit on the turf there.

It means we seem to do a lot even at home more than others based on many games of other teams yes. Did the grass in Arz cause us a problem? yes it help lead to a Cards TD. All I have said is it is up to the players to go out and make sure of their footing before the game not slip around and then figure out afterwards that this is not working.

I don't think Garrett was making an excuse and I would assume he was answering a question that was asked about them slipping. And this would just be speculation since it did happen, but if Austin does not slip does AZ get a pick six?
