Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end-outside linebacker Charles Haley said he had no complaints about not getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Haley, a finalist for the first time, was eliminated in the cut from 15 to 10 during Saturday's voting. The history of the voting process strongly suggests Haley will be among the final 15 against next year.
``It is a process,'' Haley said by e-mail. ``I am honored to be included each year. ... All of them are so very deserving. Also, it was exciting to see two of my former teammates go in.''
Haley referred to running back Emmitt Smith and receiver Jerry Rice. Haley and Smith were together for three Super Bowl wins with the Cowboys, and Haley and Rice were teammates for two Super Bowl victories with San Francisco.
