Tony Romo turned 29 on Tuesday. One of his presents: a crystal vase.

Romo and his partner, Mark Walker, won the Adams Golf Pro Scratch Championship on Tuesday by shooting a second-round 63 on the Stonebridge Ranch Country Club Hills Course in McKinney.

Their two-day total was 128, beating the field by two strokes. While Romo was on fire on Monday with seven birdies at Stonebridge's Dye Course, Walker returned the favor with a front-side 29 on Tuesday. They beat Cameron Doan and Joel Eastman of Preston Trail by two strokes.

After Doan sank a short eagle putt on No. 16 to tie Romo and Walker, the Cowboys' quarterback answered with a three-footer for a birdie to give his team the lead for good with two holes left.

Over the weekend Romo won the Will County Amateur Championship at Balmoral Woods Country Clubin Crete, Ill.

And, yes, he was at Valley Ranch in the morning with his teammates for workouts and the on-field teaching session before driving to McKinney in the afternoon.

The facts are unimportant, especially when it involves criticizing Tony for participating anything that doesn't involve football.

It surprises me that someone hasn't gotten their panties in a bunch over him taking time out to take a dump.
