The Dallas Morning News Cowboys beat writer Todd Archer answered questions in a chat on Monday. Here are a few highlights.
On the Cowboys having a chance at stopping the New Orleans offense:
Todd Archer: This will be the biggest test yet because of how the Saints spread it around. They can attack at WR, RB and TE and they will have to get pressure on Drew Brees.
On if Jason Garret ever tried to get Wade Phillips to make any of the changes that Garrett is making right now:
Todd Archer: The great unanswerable question. I wondered before he was named interim coach if he felt constricted in what he could or could not do because he was the head coach. He has made changes, nothing major really, but still changes that change the atmosphere around the building.
On which Cowboys free agents on this team do you see them re-signing:
Todd Archer: I think Sensabaugh is allowed to see what his value out on the market. I'd keep Kosier. He is older and he has had some injuries this year, but he means a lot to this line and can be effective. It's a tough call on the three defensive linemen. If it's two out of three, I'm keeping Spears and Bowen. Nothing against Hatcher but sometimes there's just not enough money around.
