Hold off on judging Garrett

I know folks are curious to see what caliber of play-caller Jason Garrett is, but you won't be able to tell after tonight.

You never get a decent idea of play-calling style from a preseason opener. Coaches don't want to show a whole lot of their cards in a meaningless game. And they're more worried about evaluating personnel than scoring points.

"It's still more of an individual game than a team game at this point," Wade Phillips said.

Even if this game counted, it still wouldn't be a good gauge of Garrett's play-calling style. The two starting tackles standing on the sideline -- matching up backups with premier speed rushers -- ought to severely limit the vertical passing game with Tony Romo.

If Garrett does call a lot of seven-step drop stuff with Romo in there, it is OK to jump to conclusions about the rookie offensive coordinator's sanity.

I am so glad us fans don't understand a lick of football.

I don't know where we would be w/o Tim pointing out the obvious.

Thanks Tim

If this were a regular season game, would Adams play? I would bet so.
