Sam Hurd is out from two to four weeks with a high ankle sprain and that problem, more than the injuries to Stanback and Austin, forces the Cowboys to have concern about their wide receiver position.

Mike Jefferson and Danny Amendola, who were signed to the practice squad today, should be active for Sunday's game at Cleveland, unless the team signs another wide receiver.

Hurd is the most accomplished receiver on the squad behind T.O. and Crayton and with him about to about the end of the month, it raises concerns.

I would expect to see a lot of Felix for the first few games.

Why both Jefferson and Amendola if no veteran is signed?

Stanback is on the roster and knows the scheme better, even if we only want to use him for clearing routes.

I see no reason to sign both unless Snake Eyes gets ruled out for week one.
