All-Pro tight end Jason Witten will host his fifth annual football camp in his hometown, Elizabethton, Tenn., on Saturday with more than 1,700 kids registered.

The camp is free to the kids with sponsors picking up the tab and raises money for Witten's SCORE Foundation. The Boys & Girls Club in Elizabethton will open the Jason Witten Learning Center in the fall.

Among the NFL players attending the camp are: Bobby Carpenter, Tennessee's Albert Haynesworth, Jacksonville's Gerald Sensabaugh, Miami's Sean Ryan. University of Tennessee quarterback Jonathan Crompton will also participate.

Tony Romo had been a staple at Witten's camp, but a buddy is getting married this weekend. He did shoot a video for the campers.

He needs to work on his blocking technique. Last year a little boy ran right through him

Exactly... Jason needs to learn to use his legs when he blocks. :D

I coach at a high school around there and we are taking some of our kids to the camp. They are pretty excited about it (so am I)!!

:banghead:

I looked all over for information on this camp because I wanted to send my son to it, but I couldn't find anything.

Oh well, 1700 kids sounds like a zoo anyway.

Maybe next year.
