If you listen to Jay Ratliff, then you'd think he had very little to do with his blocked field goal attempt by Ryan Succop with 3:15 to play.

"You've got a guy like Igor as big and strong as he is and Spears doing the same thing, getting low, it just opened up a path for me," Ratliff said.

Sure, and all Miles Austin had to do was sprint for the winning touchdown. Ratliff's athleticism is off the charts for someone his size. He was able to leap through the line, get his hands up and block the kick just as it basically left Succop's foot.

That's two blocked field goal attempts on the year for the Cowboys. Gerald Sensabaugh had one in the seaosn opener at Tampa Bay.

He really hurtled the opposing linemen to get the block. His athleticism is simply amazing. Well done Jay!

Jay Ratliff is one of my favorite Cowboys! He's a playmaker too...

agreed, he is rising up my charts also and if he keeps this up he will join Ware and Witten and make it a top 3 for me.

Guys with toughness and motor: Ratliff, Brooking, Witten, Choice, and Barber.

We need more like them!

He almost had one earlier doing the same thing. I was surprised KC didn't adjust to that hurdle move.

Speaking of FGs. I am still not worried about Folk. I questioned McBriar's holding in the pre-season and it seems like he has some issues. Just look at him after each kick yesterday. He seemed to be upset about something on every FG and PAT. Brad Johnson hurt Dallas as a QB, but he was a great holder. So was Romo.

I agree. To see a big man with that kind of quickness and athleticism is just amazing.

Fox did a great job of showing how McBriar didn't turn the laces away from Folk on the missed FG. Hopefully, they'll work on this over the bye.

I did not know you could push the offensive lineman down and lay on them like that. Well designed play. The defensive lineman on either side of him laid on top of the oline so they could not get out of their stance and Ratliff jumped over them to make a great play. We should use that play every kick.
