Jerry Jones declined to answer questions about the Cowboys' roster today in Arlington.

However, he did drop a hint that T.O. would return to Valley Ranch.

"You and I both know that the one you're asking about all the time, if I gave you the answer that you want to hear, then you would have already had it," he said. "So the fact you don't have it ought to tell you something."

The Cowboys' defensive coordinator next season is already on the payroll. His name is Wade Phillips.

Jerry Jones said he wouldn't hire a replacement for fired defensive coordinator Brian Stewart. Phillips will fill the defensive coordinator role along with serving as head coach.

Hate to see Phillips divide his attention to the team if he could delegate the defense to someone worthy enough, but this could be for the best. When he did assume more control of the defense last season, there was a remarkable improvement. It is his main coaching strength, so it may as well be used to the fullest.

To me I did not care if he TO returned or not I think that is something that needed to be determined in house, could they deal with TO or not I don't know I'm not there at the Ranch to know how coaches and players feel. I know what the media has to say but I tend not to put much faith into the media now days

Any business man wants to leave a bit of wiggle room. I think if Owens is back which I think he will it will be for the season. As for his blowup what I have seen on the sidelines has not been much different than many WR in the NFL including Boldin which so many around here have wanted. As for what is really taking place behing the locker room doors who knows.
