Jerry Jones a fan of Cowboys offense so far and he's not worried about LB Ware
Brandon George/Reporter

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Thursday afternoon that he's a fan of the Cowboys' run-first offense so far this season.

"At the end of the day, it practically gives you more flexibility of what you can do," Jones said. "The passing game is there and when you need it, he'll take it. Defenses will continue to step up ... and when they do, the passing will be there."

Jones also said he's not concerned that LB DeMarcus Ware doesn't have a sack yet this season after leading the NFL with 20 a year ago.

"The way he plays, he could get three in three plays," Jones said. "I don't make much of it at all. I see his play and his play is capable of getting a lot of sacks and has been capable of getting a lot of sacks. It just hasn't fallen for him. He's had a couple of them that he easily could have brought them down and made the sack. I'm not concerned about that. He's playing good."

I still don't know why anyone would be worried about the offense.

Are we that spoiled?

What do you think he is gonna say? :laugh1:

Our offense is much more dangerous right now than it has been in previous years for the simple reason that we can REALLY run the football.

I don't know why anyone cares about Jerry's evaluation of something that coaches would better understand. Jerry is good at what he does. Clap your hands real fast when you are happy, look like you are about to die when something bad happens, and enjoy your owner's box.

What?

Not sure....perhaps it's because the offense scored only 13 points the other night against a team that hadn't been able to stop anyone?

Mainly cause they keep shooting themselves in the foot.

With each game without a sack Jerry probably thinks he will save some money on that big deal Ware is about to get.

What?

He's had a couple of plays when he could have gotten the quarterback down for a sack but barely missed.

Delhomme barely got away from him once, Butler beat him to Delhomme once, he hit Eli a few times as he threw, etc.

Maybe but I hope people aren't that stupid and would overreact.

Especially when Dallas shot themselves in the foot on the 1 yard line twice.

Ware is going to get twenty sacks in three plays? Pay the man Jerry.

as long as ware puts pressure and stops the run that is better than a sack.

id still take a sack but i wouldnt put it as the only stat to look at

I agree consistent pressure matters. I still think sacks are a big deal anytime you can force them to lose the down and distance putting them in 2nd or 3rd and long it makes it easier to figure what they will be doing on the next play

That is what I notice too O, if they can eliminate the penalties this offense can easily surpass the 2007 offense in which Romo, sat a franchise record for TDs, and yardage, but the running game wasn't as strong in 2007, as it is now.

It is humors how people tend to over react to things, questioning Ware “what is wrong with him”. Last year after 3 games he had 2 sacks, 0 sacks in 2 of those 3 game yet ended up with 20 on the season. There is nothing wrong with Ware he will get his before all is said and done this year.

Where have you been? We're more spoiled than that, just give us some time to find something else to ***** about.

3 times. 2 times on the fade routes and 1 time on 4th and 1 when Phillips got the penalty.
