Jerry keeping a lower profile? Shocking, just shocking. Jerry's lucky he wasn't in Philadelphia where it is known to rain batteries.
Here's an item from today's gossipy Page 6:

"JERRY Jones should keep a lower profile. The Dallas Cowboys owner attended the Yankees home opener last week and was overheard boasting about his NFL team's new stadium, which opens this year. Says a Page Six spy: "All of a sudden, people started 'Let's go, Giants!' chants and started booing him and telling him to shut up. It was pretty hilarious. Especially since we were in the expensive seats. You'd typically only expect that in the bleachers."

It can't be that bad, their stadium is only half full these days anyway.

The boos didn't bother Jerry, he was still able to hit 14 home runs.

BTW the 'boastful' part sounds like BS...

Indians beat the daylights out of the yankees.

Everything new yorkers hate about jerry jones and the dallas cowboys they can find times 2 in the steinbrenner family and the ny yankees.

oh and good luck ever winning anything again with the steinbrenners calling the shots.

Its the 80s all over again for the yankees. The steinbrenners are screaming in the media and spending money and signing names like its the last season of baseball ever. It didnt work then and it wont work now.

I grew up a diehard yankees fan, I lived and died with the team, as a kid who adored don mattingly the mid 80s were the most crushing times for me as a fan. And every year they just kept buying more players, and it always ended up the same.

Haven't the Cowboys and Yankees formed some kind of alliance for concessions at their respective new stadiums? I'm sure that's why Jerry Jones was there -- not to boast, but to share in the partnership. Oh, the ignorance of Yankees/Giants fans.

Let's see...

It is mid-April.

Jerry Jones brags about his new stadium in the presence of New York Yankee fans, some of whom could safely be categorized as New York Giants fans.

Word spreads to the media.

The media informs many more Giant faithful of Jerry Jones' bragging.

Anticipation mounts among Giant fans that their team will spoil the Cowboys' home opener... throughout the months of May... June... July... August... and finally into September.

Did I mention that New York City has, by far, the largest television household market in the United States?

Sure.

Jerry Jones should keep a lower profile, but it would be hard for just about anyone to slouch while NBC executives are slapping them in the back by helping to ensure that their Sunday Night Football game will be a ratings bonanza.

Bad, Jerry Jones. Bad.

 :)

You can't tell me that anyone here is surprised at that reaction.

Wait a few more weeks and watch them Boo the yanks off the field as opposing teams hit Long ball in that stadium.:p:

As a Yankees fan I can believe it happened... They can get pretty rude :laugh2:

Yeah no kidding lol

Just think about it... Dallas gets knocked out by Giants. Giants go on to win SB.

Then Jerry is in NY and talking about HIS DALLAS stadium.

Makes perfect sense.

Anyways.... the big picture here is the two biggest franchises linked together through great tradition, great following and both having Stadiums built and opened around the same time.

The Yankees and Cowboys are linked = Greatest in each sport.
