Either way, no one really knows what direction Jerry plans to head probably because Jerry doesn't really know at this point.
Even if Wade leads us to the promised land, I certainly wouldn't be bold enough to guarantee a return of Phillips at the helm... with JJ, you never really know.
Really, with NFL coaches you never really know anyway... Tony Dungy was a fine NFL coach out in Tampa Bay, got replaced by Gruden and Gruden won it all the next year... and then a few years later, the fired Dungy (who went to Indy the subsequent season) won a Superbowl there.
I'd take Dungy all day long over John Gruden (who I think is well overrated anyway). Dungy is one of the great coaches in mine and a lot of other peoples' books, but he still got the boot...
And hitting closer to home, should I dare mention Landry and Johnson's exoduses at the hands of a crazed Jerry Jones? It doesn't matter if you win it all or are a hall of fame legend to him... he'll still strap on the boots and give it to you in your rear end if he feels like it.
