Jerry Jones looking for a record

As you may know, NBC's "Today Show" was live from Cowboys Stadium this morning, and I was able to see Matt Lauer and Al Roker upclose and personal.

In between talks, Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones said he expected 30,000 fans using Party Passes Sunday against the Giants. Add that to the 70,000-plus seats in the stadium and he's thinking NFL attendance record.

"I don't know about smashing it but I sure would expect that we'll break the attendance record," Jones said.

So what is the record?

On Oct. 2, 2005, San Francisco and Arizona played at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City in front of 103,467 fans.

We'll have more from the chat with Jerry as the day goes on. Thanks for tuning in.

$$ $igns in his eyes.

Yup and he was the man who made it happen. I mean come on 9 acres of space for the Party Pass area. WOW! Thats just crazy.

That might be a little tough since El Azteca actually has enough seats for all those people, capacity for 115,000 that's why its also known as The Colossus of Saint Ursula. But hey its opening game at Jerry's world vs the dirty Giants, why not.

All sizzle and NO STEAK Jerry.. I want Steak.... :bang2:

The only record you should have been worrying about was 2-0.

Who cares if we have a fancy stadium? I would have been more than happy to still be at the old one and have competant coaches instead.

screw jerry jones. hand the team over to somebody who knows what they're doing

I have no problem with the new stadium or Jerry wanting the record, which he got. I do have a problem with the on-field product. I hate the no heart expression, so I'll just say the Cowboys players need to learn to execute plays.

Jerry likes parties. He likes to put on the big show, but if your product continues to be average, people will stop watching eventually.
